Hi, my name is Quinn. I am the founder of Erratic Strength, and I have been a professional power-lifter since 2019. Growing up, I would have never expected to be where I am today!
As a kid, I was very depressed and didn't know where I fit in. I was the most unathletic in my class and struggled with being overweight. Not a day went by that I wasn't stereotyped, or called names. I have heard it all.
I decided I wanted more. So I started going to the gym every day, working out for hours at a time. I was obsessed. Day by day, I became someone I never imagined was possible.
It wasn't easy, life constantly hit me like a truck daily. But every time I got up and asked for more. Because slowly I began to realize it wasn't just about me.
My mom died when I was 20 years old of leukemia. She lived a few months after being diagnosed. During that time I saw just how much I meant to her. I never knew that I was her hero because to me I felt like I was never doing enough.
She showed me that what I was doing wasn't just affecting me but everyone around me as well.
The adversity that came was always unpredictable. It's just how the world works. Sometimes we don't see things coming and sometimes we are looking too hard but the few struggles I have overcome didn't happen by being normal or average, it happened by being unpredictable.
The majority of the world wants to find the negative in you and is expecting you to fail and give up but when you become unpredictable you find just how powerful the standard of being Erratic is.
